NSS-8SQ Vehicle Storage Lift by Triumph
There are parking lifts. Then there’s the Triumph NSS-8SQ Classic Lift. This 8,000 lb capacity behemoth is a garage game-changer that would make even Ferdinand Porsche nod in approval. With a runway that’s practically a drag strip at 165″ and a width between posts wider than a Hummer’s grin at 94″, it’s ready to cradle everything from nimble roadsters to burly trucks.
But don’t let its muscle fool you – this four-post marvel moves with the grace of a ballet dancer on a street dance competition. Its portable design and caster kit let you choreograph your garage space like a pit crew chief. Add in the jack tray for precision lifts and three drip trays to keep things cleaner than a Concours d’Elegance show car, and you’ve got more versatility than a Swiss Army knife. With 10 locking positions engaging faster than a drag racer’s reflexes and a lift height that rivals a monster truck’s suspension, the Classic Lift isn’t just raising cars – it’s elevating your entire garage experience to pole position.

ordered the Triumph NSS-8SQ to provide an extra parking space in my 2-car garage. The lift ships quickly from National Auto and as I don’t have a forklift to get it from a truck, I asked for it to be delivered to a local depot. I rented a U-Haul auto Transport trailer to get it home which worked out perfectly. The lift comes packaged using steel brackets on either end which bolt to the runners and everything is packed tightly inside. This allowed me to strap it down to one side of the trailer which kept it secured for the drive. Once home, I unbolted each piece and unloaded it into my garage. It is important to know one of the runners has the hydraulic ram under it which makes it very heavy. The other runner was the second heaviest part but was movable with a couple people. The runner with the hydraulic ram required me to use my engine hoist to unload it and move it around.

This lift was perfect for my application. As can be seen in the photograph, the tolerances were very close, but the lift works well for my purposes. The hardest part assembling the lift was unpacking it, but going slowly, I managed to unpack it without smashing any fingers. As I’m not young, in my 70’s, I even managed to erect it with little help. My wife helped me to slide the cross beams onto the posts. We laid the columns on the floor on dunnage and slid each beam done to the lowest stop an then lifted the two columns with cross beam installed and set it into approximate final position. I set the other two columns and cross beam at the other location as required to fit the ramps. Then, with my wife’s help, we slid the ramps into position and they dropped onto the cross beams. From there, we installed the ramp bolts into the cross beams and I was then able to attach the cabling system and hydraulic pump motor. Then, we installed the safety lock lever with its associated hardware, filled the reservoir with hydraulic fluid and tested the system. Then, I managed to, with help of the casters, get the lift located so that it did not interfere with the garage door. I decided that the old adage is true, that is, “measure twice, cuss once.” I really appreciated my wife’s help and all the “oral” support she provided. We both completed the job with all our fingers and toes intact. Thanks for the great product
